Sports events for emulation and connection
The national final of sports events held for all Petrolimex officers and workers 2015 by Petrolimex Trade Union officially opens this morning, November 23, 2015 in Hai Phong City.
The event witnesses the attendance of Vice Chairman of the Vietnam National Union of Workers in Industry and Trade, Nguyen Xuan Thai; Vice Chairman of Hai Phong City’s Confederation of Labor, Le Ngoc Tru; Petrolimex Board of Management member and Petrolimex General Director, Tran Van Thinh; Petrolimex Board of Management member, Chairman of Petrolimex Trade Union, and Head of the Sports Events’ Steering Committee, Dinh Thai Huong; and leaders from Petrolimex divisions/departments, Trade Union, and member companies.
As many as 162 competitors from 41 units taking part in the final of the sports events are those who won the first, second and third prizes at previous tournaments in tennis, table-tennis, and badminton.
The sports events organized for Petrolimex officers and workers aims to stimulate the physical exercise movements to improve health and to accelerate the movement of patriotic emulation among employees; respond to the late President Ho Chi Minh’s appeal for physical exercise for national construction and protection; and enable all cadres, officers, and laborers in the industry to increase exchange, solidarity, cooperation among units to better implement the political task and fulfill production and business plans.
Together with the professional exercise in fire fighting and control 2015, the sport events 2015 also bear a great significance, which is to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Petrolimex establishment (January 12, 1956 – January 12, 2016).
The final of sports events 2015 will take place from today until November 24 in Hai Phong City.
