The Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex) will continue its scholarship programme for students of Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST) for the 2024-2025 academic year.

In the first semester of this academic year, Petrolimex will grant nine scholarships to HUST students who received scholarships in the second semester of the 2023-2024 academic year and award 11 new scholarships to third-year students, prioritising those who wish to work at Petrolimex after graduation. The value of the scholarships ranges from VND10 million to VND20 million (about US$392 – 783).

This programme, which Petrolimex has been implementing in collaboration with HUST since the second semester of the 2023-2024 academic year, aims to attract and develop high-quality young human resources for the Group. The scholarships prioritise talented students who wish to work for Petrolimex after graduation.

The scholarships also target students from disadvantaged families and those with good English skills, providing balanced opportunities and promoting a spirit of creative learning to meet the requirements of the modern industrial environment.

This year, the scholarships are awarded to full-time undergraduate students pursuing their first bachelor's degree starting in their 6th semester in the following majors: Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation, and Business Analytics. 

To be eligible for the scholarship, students must have a cumulative grade point average (CPA) based on a 4-point scale and a cumulative average training score of "Good" or higher (65 points or higher).
