Announcement of establisment of Petrolimex transport shipping corporation (PG Tanker)
Hanoi 16 Feb. 2013 At the headquarters of Petrolimex Group this morning, The Board of Management (BoM) of Petrolimex announced the decision to establish Petrolimex Transport Shipping Corporation (PG Tanker).
This is the first specialized corporation of its kind to be established in the restructuring process of Petrolimex in line with Decision 828/QD-TTg of 31 May 2011 by the Prime Minister, Charter of Vietnam National Petroleum Group and instruction by the Ministry of Industry and Trade at document 11490/BCT-TCCB of 27 November 2012.
PG Tanker has a registered capital of 1,500 billion dongs with its headquarters at No. 1 Kham Thien Street, Dong Da District, Hanoi. It operates in the fields of riverine, sea and ocean oil transport, maritime services, repair and building of waterway transport means.
PG Tanker is a limited liability company (TNHH) with 100% capital owned by Petrolimex, in direct line of Petrolimex, and operates in the form of a holding company as regulated by the Enterprise Law and in compliance with Petrolimex Charter
Mr. Nguyen Anh Dung is appointed by Petrolimex BoM Chairman of Board of Members and Director General of PG Tanker with legal representation.
PG Tanker has the oil transport joint stock companies such as VIPCO, VITACO, Hai Phong oil transport and services company (PTS), Petrolimex waterway oil transport PJTACO, Cua Cam Port (Hai Phong) … as affiliated companies with the fleet of oil product transport vessels biggest in Vietnam and up to international standard.
On the same day, Petrolimex leadership announced decision of appointing key positions of PG Tanker:
-Members of Board of Members: MM Phan Van Ky, Pham Van Vinh, Nguyen Van Hung, Luu Van Thang.
-Chief Accountant: Mr. Dang Quang Tuan
- Vice Director General: MMNguyen Dinh Duong, Pham Viet Khoa
- Auditor: Mr. Le Duc Loi (concurrent)
The announcement of above mentioned decisions is the first step for PG Tanker to proceed with formalities in compliance with the law.
Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of Petrolimex BoM required that PG Tanker quickly fulfill legal formalities, shape up concise working staff so as to put PG Tanker into operation aiming at fulfilling targets set by the Group leadership : to inherit the 30 year historic tradition of waterway oil transport, to effectively and dynamically push business and to build PG Tanker into a strong corporation in Vietnam and international arena.
