With agreement of the Board of Management of Petrolimex Group and the approval of the Board of Management of Petrolimex Petrochemical Joint Stock Company (PLC) on December 17, 2012 in Ho Chi Minh City, Petrolimex Bitumen Company Limited signed an agreement on the transfer of assets (SPA) with Shell Vietnam Limited (Shell Vietnam) by which PLC procured the Bitumen Storage at Cua Lo (Nghe An province) and the bitumen tank trucks team of Shell Vietnam.

The Cua Lo bitumen storage at Cua Lo was invested and operated by Shell Vietnam since 1995 on a premise of about two hectares in Nghi Thuy ward, Cua Lo town with an aggregate capacity of 2,380cubic meters, fitted with synchronized equipment and modern technology, capable of berthing vessels of more than 6,000DWT, supplying 20,000 tons of liquid and polymer bitumen per year for the northern Central Vietnam

By the procurement of this storage, Petrolimex Bitumen Company Limited is the only company in Vietnam who manages and operates six (6) modern and synchronized bitumen storages along the whole country of Vietnam, from Hai Phong to Can Tho.
