Trial running of software for oil retail station management (EGAS)
Since July 30, 2012at Petroleum Company Region 2 in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam National Petroleum Group conducted the trial running of software for users level (UAT) for oil retail management (EGAS) supplied by PIACOM.
Attending the trial running were leaders and members of the project committee of the Group, project committee of PIACOM and especially with the attending of project committees of Petroleum Companies Region 1 and 2. whose numbers of retail stations are big and activities are typical for the management of oil retail stations .of PETROLIMEX.
At the opening ceremony, Ms Dam Thi Huyen, Vice Director General of the Group, and Director of the project emphasized that EGAS is not just a software but it is the solution for the management of oil retail stations comprising the management soft ware integrated with the automation systems. EGAS is an integral part of the management system SAP-ERP which is now being undertaken in PETROLIMEX. The project director highly commended the efforts and spirits of participants in the project and expressed her belief in the success of the project.

The users level UAT is made in two phases: the trial running is from July 30 to August 10, 2012; the test running combined with the automation system will be from August 10 to 15, 2012. After test running EGAS will be completed for deployment in 75 oil retail stations of Petroleum Companies Region 1 and Region 2 before massive deployment in all retail station networks of Petrolimex Group.

EGAS is a solution for management of retail stations comprising the management software integrated with automation in three contents: reception of signal from pump, automatic level gauging, and integrate for card payment. EGAS is configured by concentrated data and on wide band (WAN, internet). EGAS is the most modern solution for management of oil retail stations at present, capable of meeting requirement for multi-level management : from the Group, companies, branches/enterprises, and retail stations, satisfying the demand for petroleum management by new regulations at present time.
