Can Tho City, December 31, 2012 Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex) successfully held the go-live ceremony for enlarged Project Petrolimex-ERP, phase 4, as the last go-live project for 13 petroleum companies in Eastern and Western Nam Bo zones.

Board of Management Member cum Director General of Petrolimex GroupTran Van Thinh presided the event.

Attending the ceremony were Ms. Dam Thi Huyen, Director of Petrolimex –ERP Project, leaders of Piacom Company, leaders of ERP Division of the group, Mr. Mai Cong Nguyen, Director General of FPT-FIS , leaders of Petrolimex Saigon, leaders and project members of 13 petroleum companies of this phase from Western Nam Bo zone, Dong Nai, Song Be, Tay Ninh, Ba Ria-Vung Tau, Long An, Tien Giang, Ben Tre, Dong Thap, Tra Vinh, An Giang, Vinh Long, and Ca Mau.

The vital project by Petrolimex with the partner FPT-FIS officially started on December 22, 2009. After 3 years of commencement, the project arrived at important milestones in time and as scheduled when conditions for business of the whole sector were full of difficulties and challenges and multiple works during the process of equitization

• Vanguard go-live at the principal headquarter of the group on January 1st 2012 .
• Go-live at 2 major companies with comprehensive business at Petrolimex Saigon and Petrolimex Quang Ninh on July 1st, 2012
• Go-live on an expanded scale , phase 1, at 9 petroleum companies in mountainous areas of the North on September 1st 2012
• Go-live on an expanded scale, phase 2, at important areas of 6 petroleum companies in Northern and Central zones on Oct.1st 2012.
• Go-live on an expanded scale, phase 3, at 12 petroleum companies of Northern Central zone and Tay Nguyen (High Plateau) zone on Dec.1st 2012.

Go-live on an expanded scale, phase 4 as last phase on Jan. 1st 2013, marked the point of time when all 42 petroleum companies of Petrolimex system conduct synchronized transaction on ERP-SAP system.

Speaking at the ceremony, Director General Tran Van Thinh took note and commended the sense of responsibility and the spirit of overcoming difficulties of project teams, and suggested that company leaders, officers, specialists directly running the project to bring forth their mind and ability on concerted efforts to ensure all conditions for a successful deployment of the project.

Difficulties and challenges are still ahead; however with initial but firm steps in the management of resources, Petrolimex is confident that the ERP project will be operated successfully, responding timely and precisely the requirement of communication, creating a breaking step in the management of the enterprise.
