On August 15, 2024, the Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Group/Petrolimex) inaugurated its 2024 Internal Communications Conference in Quy Nhon City, Binh Dinh Province, under the theme “Better Together – Taking You Further”. The conference aims to enhance Petrolimex’s internal communications, significantly contributing to the achievement of the Group’s goals and the realisation of its visions for the future.

Board of Directors member – General Director of Petrolimex, Dao Nam Hai, chaired the conference along with Petrolimex’s Deputy General Directors Nguyen Quang Dung and Nguyen Ngoc Tu, and representatives from the leadership of departments such as: Communications and Public Relations, Office, Information Technology and Digital Transformation, Human Resources Department; and leaders of the Vietnam National Petroleum Trade Union and the Group’s Youth Union.

Of note, nearly 200 delegates who are leaders of Petrolimex member units participated in the conference online at various locations, while 150 staff members – the core team in the Group’s communication work – attended in-person in Quy Nhon City.

In his opening remarks, the Board of Directors member – General Director of Petrolimex Dao Nam Hai emphasised that in the context of increasingly fierce competition and constant changes in the market, Petrolimex has been continuously striving to develop and affirm its leading position. This year’s internal communication training conference marks a new milestone, as much importance has been placed to internal communication and corporate culture. The conference will be a new step forward in Petrolimex’s internal communication efforts, significantly contributing to the realisation of the Group’s goals and vision in the coming time.

From the end of 2023 to early 2024, the Group’s leadership has shown deep concern for internal communication, contributing to building corporate culture through the comprehensive and methodical implementation of activities, processes and personnel. The Group has established an internal communication task force, conducted an internal communication survey, and will soon launch an internal newsletter and website named “Dong hanh” (Companionship).

"Companionship will be the keyword throughout, and “Companionship – Better Together – Taking You Further” will be the message that the Petrolimex Internal Communication Training Conference would like to convey to the participating delegates. We will accompany each other in work, in life, and in building a Petrolimex that is increasingly evolving”, said Petrolimex General Director Dao Nam Hai.

Based on that goal, the Group’s leadership urges the core team in communication work to be determined to successfully implement the following key tasks.

First, to grasp knowledge about internal communication in the new context.

Second,from the leadership to the communication team, everyone needs to be well aware of their role and responsibility in implementing internal communication works.

Third, to enhance internal communication in all situations, integrating internal communication tasks to connect departments, units, and between units with the Group, accelerating work efficiency and leveraging Petrolimex’s internal strengths.

Fourth, to promote innovation and creativity, serving as a driving force for the Group’s development.

Fifth, to build a Petrolimex corporate culture rich in identity, creating a friendly and ideal working environment; Petrolimex staff share a common direction, a common goal, and a sense of pride, generating internal strengths to help overcome all challenges.

Taking place over three days (August 15-17, 2024), the 2024 Internal Communications Training Conference provided in-depth knowledge, practical skills, and the latest trends to Petrolimex’s communication staff.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Le Van Truong from Nghe An Petrolimex said: Although he has been in charge of internal communications for many years, after listening to the sharing from expert Le Quang Vu (Blue C), he truly understands more about this work, especially having a more “open” mindset and avoiding being “bound” in building contents for the internal communications. He said, he will convey the knowledge learned from the conference to his colleagues at Petrolimex Nghe An to work together to build and promote the strength of internal communications, contributing to promoting production and business activities.

Sharing the same perspective, Ms. Nguyen Van Anh from Petrolimex Gas Corporation expressed her excitement. She said internal communications activities are highly valued by the Group. The contents of the training are close, practical and contemporary. The new knowledge about content creation with AI has sparked many new ideas for her to apply at her company.

Speaking about her plans after the conference, Ms. Bui Thi Thanh Truc from Long An Petrolimex, said the knowledge she gained at the conference is extremely useful, which she and her teammates will effectively utilise in implementing internal communications in the near future.  She noted its usefulness in promoting the power of “multi-channel, multi-platform”, increasing connectivity not only within Petrolimex Long An, but also between Petrolimex Long An with other units in the Group.

Organised in the period when Petrolimex is promoting the implementation of two major strategies: digital transformation and green transition, the internal communications training conference enables the Group to share its strategic vision with each employee, ignite the spirit of innovation, create unity and high determination throughout the team, thereby creating overall strength, contributing to Petrolimex’s development journey.
