On August 19, 2013 Bangladesh Deputy Minister of Energy H.E Md Mozammel Haque Khan visited and worked with Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex).

Together with H.E Deputy Minister were Chairman of Bangladesh Petroleum Company (BPC) Md Eunusur Rahman and Chairman of Arafeen Group of Company Syed Shamsul Arafeen.

Welcoming and working with the delegation were Chairman of Petrolimex Bui Ngoc Bao and Director of Petrolimex Singapore Nguyen Quang Tuan and related departments.

In the working session, Chairman of Petrolimex Bui Ngoc Bao introduced the capacity and strong advantages of Petrolimex in the field of oil business, and the orientation of Petrolimex in the development and expansion of trade cooperation with regional and world countries in the time to come.

Subsequently, the Chairman suggested: to upgrade the trading relations with BPC and Arafeen Group to the supply of Petrolimex goods and services such as: lubricants, paints, oil transport, designing and installing of oil depots, tanks…

The Bangladesh Deputy Minister of Energy highly valued the goodwill, capacity and experience of Petrolimex, undertook to support the cooperation between Petrolimex and Bangladeshi oil companies to a new level.

Since 2011, Petrolimex Singapore has had trading cooperation with BPC, in which Petrolimex Singapore supplies oil on a long term contract of 300,000tons per year to Bangladesh.

On the background of mutual understanding and trust, the two sides are striving to enlarge the scope and forms of cooperation with a view to move further.
