Flowers presentation on 69th anniversary of Independence and commemoration of President Ho Chi Minh
In the morning of September 2nd, Petrolimex Singapore together with the delegation of Vietnam Embassy attended the meeting in honour of the 69th anniversary of Independence Day and in commemoration of President Ho Chi Minh at the Park of Asia Civilization Museum.
Attending the meeting were Vietnamese Ambassador to Singapore Tran Hai Hau and several Embassy staff, representatives of the business bloc, overseas students and representatives of Vietnamse residents living and working in Singapore.
In the solemn and moving atmosphere, the bouquet of flowers presented by Vietnam Embassy and Petrolimex Singapore was laid at Uncle Ho statue. Ambassador Tran Hai Hau reaffirmed the great significance of September 2nd 1945 when President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence that gave birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam –now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. The Ambassador also on behalf of the Vietnamese overseas community in Singapore expressed boundless gratitude to Uncle Ho- the hero of national liberation and a figure of world culture who dedicated his whole life to independence and freedom of the country and the happiness of the people.
In the evening of the same day on the occasion of the Independence Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Vietnam Embassy held a reception at Hilton Singapore Hotel. Guests to the party were from foreign Embassies in Singapore, representatives of business community, Vietnamese citizens residing and working in Singapore.
