Ready to meet demands for continuous usage (24/7 service)
The Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex) organised the 2016 Information Technology on March 10, 2016 at its headquarters on No.1, Kham Thien Street, Ha Noi.

The conference witnesses many key figures in attendance, such as Petrolimex General Director Tran Van Thinh, leaders from Information Technology Division and Public Relations Division, and 30 officials who are head/deputy head of divisions, group leaders, information technology administrators of some Petrolimex member companies including branch, enterprise and general warehouse.
The Petrolimex information technology (IT) system has received and dealt with 24,238 requests for IT services since April 1, 2014. Generally speaking, the average time spent on fixing a request has markedly declined from 42 hours in the third quarter of 2014 to 4 hours in the first quarter of 2016.
Regarding information security: the IT system has timely handled information security incidents, especially at the outbreak of the virus-encoder; and completed deploying, managing and employing Firewall, SWUS (Software Update Subsystem), and SCCM (System Centre Configuration Manager) systems.
Regarding the network & communications: In 2015, Petrolimex upgraded the MegaWAN from copper cable into fiber-optic cable, ensuring bandwidth for the connection of ERP, EGAS and other applications; upgraded the Core Router system at the Group’s headquarters and regional centres; replanned linkages of all companies, branches, warehouses and general warehouses; and enhanced the efficiency and safety of the Backbone network.
The management and training works continued to be improved and intensified.
In 2016, Petrolimex will continue developing the IT system in line with the centralised administration model on the basis of unifying managerial process, standardising and synchronising IT infrastructure system; gradually developing the information technology system to become a foundation for the administration and management of Petrolimex business areas; proactively co-ordinating and unifying phases from plan making, preparation, and implementation to administration, operation and usage of the IT system; staying ready to meet demands for continuous usage (24/7 service).
