On February 7, 2025, in Hanoi, Petrolimex Aviation Fuel JSC (Petrolimex Aviation) held a kickoff ceremony to launch the International Sustainability and Carbon Certification project.

The kickoff ceremony was attended by Mr. Quach Thach Thi, CEO and Lead Auditor of ISC Vietnam, and Ms. Nguyen Nam Tran, Head of the Business Assurance Business Unit at SGS Vietnam Ltd. Representing Petrolimex Aviation were Mr. Pham Huy Thong, Chairman of the Management Board; Mr. Nguyen Van Hoc, Secretary of the Party Committee, Management Board member, and General Director; Mr. Le Minh Quoc, Deputy General Director of the Military Petrochemical Joint Stock Company, and Management Board member. The event also saw the participation of members of the Management Board, the Board of Directors, the Supervisory Board, and leaders of departments, divisions, and branches directly under the company.

The ISCC is a globally recognised and respected sustainability certification system. With over 8,000 valid certificates in more than 120 countries, it is one of the largest certification systems worldwide. The ISCC is managed by an association comprising over 230 members, including research institutes and non-governmental organizations (NGOs). It is dedicated to inspecting and ensuring that agricultural, forestry, and renewable energy products are produced according to sustainable standards, while minimising negative impacts on the environment and society.

Speaking at the ceremony, Secretary of the Party Committee, Management Board member, and General Director of Petrolimex Aviation, Nguyen Van Hoc, affirmed that striving for ISCC sustainable certification underscores Petrolimex Aviation's strong commitment to contributing to the global goal of reducing carbon emissions. This aligns with Vietnam's commitment at the COP 26 Conference to achieving net-zero emissions by 2050.

To implement this important project, the General Director requested that all departments, divisions, and branches within the system prepare all necessary resources, join hands, work in unity, be proactive, and maintain a high sense of responsibility to ensure the project is completed according to the set schedule.

With the determination and efforts of all employees, Petrolimex Aviation believes that the project will achieve remarkable success. This will enhance the company's position in the market, contribute to greening the aviation industry, and support the sustainable development and prosperity of the country.

Also at the ceremony, the company launched the "PA Green" movement, aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions. This initiative focuses on building environmental awareness, encouraging the use of environmentally friendly solutions, and promoting the greening and cleaning of the environment and office spaces. By doing so, the company aims to improve the mental and physical health of its employees and effectively manage greenhouse gas emissions.
