On February 3, 2025, the Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex/Group) held a celebration for the New Year 2025 – Year of the Snake. The event aims to spread a spirit of enthusiasm and high determination to all member units within the Petrolimex system, heading towards a successful and prosperous year.

At the main venue, the Parent Company of the Group, the programme was presided over by Pham Van Thanh, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Management Board. He was joined by Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Director General Dao Nam Hai, as well as members of the Management Board, the Board of Directors, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, members of the Supervisory Board, the Chairman of the Vietnam Petroleum Trade Union, the Chief Accountant, the Chief of Office, Heads of Departments and Offices of the Group, the Chief of Office of the Party Committee, and the Secretary of the Group Youth Union.

The programme was connected online to more than 100 venues belonging to General Corporations and member companies of Petrolimex.

In the joyful and bustling atmosphere of early Spring 2025, Party Committee Secretary and Chairman Pham Van Thanh commended all Petrolimex officials, employees, and workers for their contributions, which led to the successful completion and exceeding of targets and plans set for 2024.

During the Lunar New Year 2025, Petrolimex excelled in ensuring supply without any reported incidents of security disruptions or safety failures. Sales volume during the nine-day holiday increased compared to Lunar New Year 2024, with Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City recording growth rates of 13 per cent and 15 per cent respectively compared to Lunar New Year 2024.

The leadership of Petrolimex emphasised the particular significance of 2025, as it embodies the aspiration and determination for the country to accelerate and achieve breakthroughs. As a leading State-owned enterprise in the economy, Petrolimex aims to align with the development momentum and rising aspirations of the entire nation. The Group has set a minimum growth target of 8 per cent, with the ambition of reaching double-digit growth. 

Petrolimex Party Committee Secretary and Chairman Pham Van Thanh, called on all Petrolimex employees and workers to unite and be determined to achieve the set goals. He encouraged them to strive for accomplishments in this pivotal year leading up to the 70th anniversary of the Group's establishment. Additionally, he emphasised the importance of meeting the expectations of the State ownership representative agency, while also contributing to the overall development and spirit of the country in this new phase.
