Petrolimex supports the Japanese people to overcome the earthquake and tsunami aftermaths.
Hanoi March 22, 2011. Vietnam National Petroleum Corporation supports the Japanese people with a sum of 420.000.000 Vietnamese dongs (app. USD 20,000) to overcome the March 11, 2011 earthquake and tsunami aftermaths .

This sum is the voluntary contribution by the staff and workers from their own salaries in order to express their sharing of sufferings of the Japanese people in difficulty.
On behalf of 26 thousand cadres and employees of Petrolimex, Vice Director General Nguyen Quang Kien directly visited the Japanese Embassy to Vietnam to hand over the sum .
Vice Director Nguyen Quang Kien expressed the thorough understanding with the Japanese people, conveyed his condolences to the families having their family kin dead or missing, and said : “ Endowed with the dauntless Japanese character, the Japanese government and people will subdue this difficulty, quickly overcome the disaster consequences, reconstruct the devastated area into a more developed one, and the people’s life would quickly be stable and better.”
On receiving the Vice Director General of Petrolimex, the Japanese Minister to Vietnam Koichi Aiboshi expressed his thanks to the leadership and staff of Petrolimex for their sincere and profound feeling towards the Japanese people and pledged to quickly transfer to Japan the above sum for the people to overcome the disaster consequences.
