On March 15, 2022, the Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex/PLX/Group) organised a ceremony to announce the Decision on approval of the position Deputy Secretary of Party Committee and appointing Dao Nam Hai as Director General of Petrolimex.

The event witnessed the attendance of Deputy Secretary of the Central Business Bloc’s Party Committee Le Van Chau; Vice President of the Commission for the Management of State Capital at Enterprises (CMSC) Ho Sy Hung, and heads of CMSC’s departments and representatives from  the Central Business Bloc’s Party Committee’s advisory departments.

On Petrolimex’s side, on-site attendees include member of the Standing Committee of the Central Business Bloc’s Party Committee, Secretary of Petrolimex Party Committee, Chairman Pham Van Thanh; members of Party Committee’s Standing Committee; Board of Management members; Supervisory Board members; Board of Directors members; Chairman of Vietnam Petroleum Trade Union; Secretary of the Group’s Youth Union; and heads of relevant Departments/Divisions of the Parent Company – the Group. The ceremony was also connected online to all Corporations/Companies wholly or partly-owned by the Group, member petroleum companies at home, and Petrolimex Singapore and Petrolimex Laos aboard.

Ahead of the announcement ceremony, Petrolimex Board of Management issued Decision No 68-QĐ/PLX-QĐ-HĐQT dated February 11, 2022 on the appointment of Director General and the Central Business Bloc’s Party Committee promulgated Decision No 632-QĐ/ĐUK dated March 1, 2022 on the approval of the position Deputy Secretary of Petrolimex Party Committee for Mr. Dao Nam Hai as of March 1, 2022.

Addressing the ceremony, Deputy Secretary of the Central Business Bloc’s Party Committee Le Van Chau congratulated Deputy Secretary of Petrolimex Party Committee Dao Nam Hai and said Petrolimex Party Committee had been proactive and timely reinforced personnel work, ensuring procedures in line with regulations. He expected Mr. Dao Nam Hai and the whole Executive Committee and Standing Committee of Petrolimex Party Committee to stay united and consistent in their leadership and building a clean and strong Party Committee as set goals.

On behalf of the CMSC leadership, Vice President Ho Sy Hung expressed congratulations to Petrolimex and newly-appointed Director General Dao Hai Nam; and called for the Director General and Petrolimex leadership to uphold the sprit of solidarity and innovation in leadership and administration to develop the Group commensurate with its potentials and position, on the foundation of its 66 years of establishment and development.

Delivering a speech, Petrolimex Chairman Pham Van Thanh said the position was both an honour and responsibility of Mr. Dao Nam Hai. The Board of Management expected the newly-appointed Director General to continue promoting his professional experience and the boldness of the head of the Board of Directors to govern and make Petrolimex capitalise on strengths for stronger development, deserving the expectations of the Party, Government, shareholders, investors, partners, customers and the whole Petrolimex staff.

Delivering a Thank You speech, newly-appointed Director General Dao Hai Nam said he was grateful for the trust and confidence of the leaders at all levels and pledged to work together with the whole Petrolimex leadership to maximise their capacity to fulfil assigned tasks, making efficient and responsible contributions to the sustainability of Petrolimex.
